The Château Saint-Pierre de Serjac wine estate
Château Saint-Pierre de Serjac was one of the Languedoc’s most historic wine estates in the 19th century, and at the time was considered to be one of the most important in the region, producing almost a million litres of wine a year. The Château St-Pierre de Serjac estate is continuing its winegrowing and now wine tourism activities.
The estate extends over 100 hectares of vineyards where more than 15 different grape varieties flourish.
At the heart of the estate, the cellar has been completely modernised and the first vintages of the new era were bottled in 2018.
The cellar and vines were completely restored between 2013 and 2016. The cellar now houses 21 stainless steel vats used for the vinification of the different cuvées. On either side of the entrance, two tuns bear witness to the history of the site. Since 2018, the estate has been run by Vignobles Bonfils, a family of independent winegrowers with a portfolio of 17 award-winning properties in the Languedoc, including Château Les Carrasses (34).
