The Espace Brassens also features 10 interactive rooms: childhood and youth in Sète, Impasse Florimont with Jeanne and Marcel, the cabaret era, poetic and musical writing, Brassens the libertarian, and a new 1940-1952 “Paris Basdorf Paris” scenography.
A place dedicated to the public: to watch Brassens’ singing tours on the big screen, to attend conferences and meetings with authors, and to listen to performers in concert.
The Espace Georges Brassens is also accessible to deaf and hearing-impaired visitors, thanks to tour tablets translated into French Sign Language.

“Putain de toi” was the name Georges Brassens’ boat was to have been called, if Maritime Affairs had not objected. It was to be called the “Sauve qui Peut”. Brassens’ non-conformist spirit is clearly evident here. “The Sauve qui Peut was restored and can still be seen today in front of the Espace Georges Brassens in Sète.
